In response to these challenges, IMT Nord Europe has created the Master in ADVANCED DESIGN AND MANAGEMENT OF DURABLE CONSTRUCTIONS (ADMODC). The mission of this program is to train civil engineering professionals capable of rethinking construction by integrating sustainable practices. By focusing on the use of innovative, bio-based and sustainable materials, the program aims to minimize the environmental impact while maximizing the efficiency of construction projects.

In addition, your management and project management skills will be developed during a semester at Institut Mines-Télécom Business School, our academic partner.

Admissions

Prerequisites

Hold a Bachelor’s degree (BSc, BEng, BTech) or equivalent, ideally in the fields of civil engineering, construction, materials, environmental sciences, geology or architecture.
Proof of a B2 level of English (TOEIC, TOEFL, IELTS, etc.).

Admissions process

Application and interview:
Once we have received the complete application file, the candidate is informed by email whether his or her application has been accepted. If this is the case, an interview is organized with the head of training to assess the candidate’s technical knowledge and career plans. The language used for this interview is English.
Candidates will be notified as soon as possible of their selection for the program.

Program

The international master’s degree “Advanced Design and Management of Durable Constructions” lasts 2 years and is structured as follows:

  • Year 1 – Semester 1: Engineering programme at IMT Nord Europe, Douai campus
  • Year 1 – Semester 2: Business and Management studies at IMT-BS, Evry-Courcouronnes campus
  • Year 2 – Semester 1: Engineering programme at IMT Nord Europe, Douai campus
  • Year 2 – Semester 2: End-of-study project, 6-month internship in a company or research laboratory

The programme is organized into three synergistic blocks that provide a comprehensive educational experience:

 

Bloc 1: Advanced Civil Engineering

This bloc focuses on the technical aspects of construction, emphasizing innovation and eco-efficiency.

Bloc 2: Sustainability and Environmental Engineering

This bloc addresses the environmental aspects of construction, focusing on sustainable design principles and practices.

  • Sustainable Design, Minimizing Ecological Footprints:

Master the art of sustainable design, learning to create buildings that harmonize with their environment and minimize ecological footprints.

  • Environmental Assessment:

Gain expertise in conducting comprehensive environmental assessments for planning and executing sustainable construction projects.

Bloc 3: Project Management and Digital Technology

This bloc combines project management skills with digital technology, preparing students to lead sustainable construction projects in the digital age.

During this 6-month internship, students will apply the theoretical and technical concepts and methods to real construction projects in the industry. This semester can also be the opportunity to carry out a master thesis in a research lab.

Fees

Programme fees are :

  • €7,000 per year for European Union students, i.e. €14,000 for 2 years;
  • €9,000 per year for international students (outside the European Union), i.e. €18,000 for 2 years.

An application fee of €60 is payable at the time of application. This fee is non-refundable and can be paid by bank transfer.
