On July 1–2, the NeMMo Student Pitch Challenge 2026 took place as part of the international NeMMo – New Materials for Future Mobility congress, organized by the Société des Ingénieurs de l’Automobile (SIA) and the SFIP. The competition showcases the most promising student initiatives in the fields of sustainable mobility and advanced materials.
This year’s challenge was held under the theme: “Rethink. Reinvent. Re-materialize Mobility.”
Among the finalists, Joshua Deschietere, an engineering student in the FISA Computer Science, Telecommunications and Networks program at IMT Nord Europe, was awarded second place with his project “MateriaLink”. He impressed the jury, composed of experts from both academia and industry, with the quality of his project and his presentation delivered in English.
This achievement reflects the commitment, creativity, and excellence of our students, as well as their determination to actively contribute to addressing the environmental challenges of tomorrow’s mobility.
